Sam had worked at the Trout Creek Bible Camp for several years during the summers. He had worked in many different areas at the Camp. So Sam decided that he wanted to do his Eagle Project for this Camp.

Sam asked the Camp Director for an idea that he could develop to use as his Eagle Project. The first idea was to build a Retaining Wall & Stairs on a Trail to give better access to campers and prevent the hillside from sliding away. Sam put in a great deal of effort on this Project & got all of his approvals only to be met with the 'wet' part of the year. This meant that Sam could not do this Project without causing damage to the surrounding areas.

So at this point, Sam asked the Camp Director for a list of other Projects that could be worked on. It was from this list that Sam found the idea for the Archery Deck & Roof (Archery Station). Sam went through the planning phase once again & got more approvals. He then proceeded to coordinate workers to get his Project done around the Camp's busy schedule.

The Archery Station consisted of a platform for the campers to stand on as well as a roof overhead to keep the area dry. It is a wonderful addition to the Camp!
