Jack wanted to do a project that would help animals. Jack's uncle had recently received some help from a cat shelter for a feral cat problem. Jack thought that he could help that cat shelter out.

Jack checked with the cat shelter that helped his uncle & found that they didn't need any help. But they knew of another shelter, House of Dreams, that could use some help. When the 2nd shelter was contacted, they were super happy to receive some help. So, Jack did his project for House of Dreams which is a ‘no kill’ cat shelter.

The original plan was for making 3 cat beds, 3 cat pillows, & 1 cat tree. Jack's group was able to make several additional items ending up with 4 cat beds, 18 cat pillows, & the cat tree. Additionally, Jack organized helpers to clean up the backyard area & the storage shed at the shelter.

Jack's project was made tougher in that it had to be completed during the Covid-19 pandemic & a city-wide lockdown.
