William's grandfather has had a Tree Farm & cut his own lumber for many years. For a long time, William had wanted to use some of his grandfather's lumber in some way as part of a Project that he could do for his Eagle Project.
William finally settled on a Picnic Shelter & started working with an architect (or engineer) to finalize a design & plan for his Shelter. Then he worked on tracking down the additional materials that would be needed (other than lumber).
Surprisingly, he started running into multiple issues with not being able to find a place (city, county, or park) to build it... William actually had worked with a few different locations & kept running into dead ends. But he was finally able to get connected with the City of Molalla & was able to build his project in 1 of their city parks.
William coordinated many workers (through hundreds of Service Hours) to create an incredible Shelter.
