Clayton contacted his church to see if there were any projects that he could organize & do as his Eagle Project. He decided to make something that will be helpful for reservations, weddings, & receptions at the church hall.
Clayton planned a way to repurpose an old school cabinet to turn it into a new service cart to use in the hall during weddings & receptions. Then Clayton coordinated a group of workers to carry out the needed work on the cabinet. (The cabinet top was destroyed & needed to be replaced; the top & sides were refinished; & the inside of the cabinet got a nice coat of bright white paint.)
There was also an old park bench outside on the back porch of the rectory that was in desperate need of refinishing. So, Clayton also had some workers work on that bench also. They disassembled the parts; prepped & repainted the metal legs; then sanded & refinished the wooden slats before reassembling all the parts. Now it should last for many more years to come.
