This project is a tag-along to a previous Eagle Project done by our Troop. My Father's House had someone else that was going to take care of the concrete work for a Shed that was previously built for them, but that concrete work never got done. Forrest looked into a few possible projects but selected this one.
So Forrest decided that he wanted to take care of that concrete work for My Father's House by getting the Shed on a permanent Foundation & Floor. This will make the Shed much more useful for storing things & to prevent weather related damage to the Shed.
The 12 ft x 16 ft wooden Shed was first 'moved' by rolling it on rollers & boards to temporarily get it out of the way. Then dirt was removed, gravel was brought in, & forms were set to prepare for the Foundation & Floor. Then the concrete was poured, worked, & finished. After several weeks of 'curing' for the concrete, then the Shed was rolled back over onto its permanent base & anchored in place.
