Matthew found a project that meant a lot to him as he was pursuing 1 of his hobbies. He has participated as an actor in some of the presentations put on by the Nutz-n-Boltz Theater & was able to see the need first hand.

The theater uses the Grange Hall in Boring, OR for their performances. But the Grange wants to maintain the historical value of the building so that limits the available areas that can be used for storage. This leads to some storage issues for the theater supplies like lights, wood, & other stage supplies.

Matthew’s project consisted of building 2 large, rolling Storage Carts on casters that can be rolled underneath the stage. One cart has a raised bar over it so stage lights can be mounted on it for storage. The other cart has some walls on it (like a box) so that spare wood & stage supplies can be stored in it.

Side wall guides were also added under the stage to keep the carts rolling straight & to prevent the carts from getting hung up on the support legs of the stage.
